Maid Marian4th of JulyBlock Party

July 4th, 2026
Celebrating America's 250th Birthday

What to Expect

A street full of neighbors, all day and into the night

This is our big one: a 4th of July block party right on the Maid Marian cul-de-sac, and this year we're celebrating America's 250th birthday. It kicks off at 3 PM. Come for the fun, stay for the fireworks, with the whole street out.

Expect kiddie pools to splash in, yard games and kids games going all afternoon, and the watermelon eating contest before dinner. Kids are welcome to bring their bikes and scooters and cruise the cul-de-sac. We'll fire up the grills, share a potluck spread, and cap it off with kid-friendly fireworks after dark. Come hungry, bring the family, stay late.

Step 1 of 4

RSVP

Start here so we know how much food to expect
Splitting it this way sizes the food right, since teens eat like adults, and the little-ones count gives us a rough headcount for the watermelon contest.
We'll only use it to send the one update that matters, like a rain plan or a time change. No spam, no list. If the weather looks iffy, this is how you'll hear.
Step 2 of 4

The Potluck

Already RSVP'd? Sign up for a dish next
We need real food to fill bellies. Homemade mains and hearty sides are the goal. Chips and snacks are a bonus, bring extra if you like, no need to sign those up.

The bars below are live and grow with every RSVP. Even when a category looks close, extra real food is welcome. Aim for whatever's shortest, but don't be afraid to add more mains or hearty sides. Leftovers are better than hungry neighbors.
Drinks are bring-your-own. There's no drink signup. Pack a cooler with your own drinks, ice, and cups for your crew. Bring enough for the afternoon and the long evening.

Here's what neighbors have claimed so far. To add yours, use the form below the bars. No rush, you can RSVP now and sign up for a dish later. This page is always here.

Connecting to the live potluck list…

Claim a dish

Pick a category, type what you're bringing, and tap Add. Your dish appears on the list above and fills its bar.

Name it so neighbors can see the spread and bring something different, which keeps us from six trays of burgers.

Bringing extra?

Tents, tables, chairs, coolers, a speaker, anything that helps. No limits, the more the merrier. This just lets us know what others are already bringing.

Day-of basics we still need: paper plates, napkins and paper towels, forks, knives, spoons, and trash bags. Easy to overlook and easy to run short on. If you can grab any, add it below so we don't end up with food and nothing to eat it with. (Drinks, ice, and cups are bring-your-own, no need to add those.)

The Day & Details

The full schedule, plus the practical bits

Good to Know

Where

The cul-de-sac on Maid Marian Dr. Naturally closed off and kid-safe. Find us by the noise.

Parking

Park at the start of the street or on Robinway and walk in. Let's keep the cul-de-sac clear of cars so it's all party.

Rain plan

We'll make the weather call closer to the day. If you're concerned, add your email in the RSVP. That's where the word goes out.

Drinks (BYO)

Bring your own cooler, drinks, ice, and cups. There's no drink signup, just pack what your family likes.

Bring the kids

Family-friendly start to finish. Activities, the watermelon contest, sparklers at dusk. Come hungry.

Step 4 of 4 · Optional

Chip In for the Fireworks

Totally optional, no pressure

The big finale isn't free. If you'd like to help cover the fireworks, a suggested $15–20 per household goes a long way, but contribute whatever you can. And if now's not the time, just come and enjoy them. You're welcome either way.
